Ollie loves...

paper towel, bathtime, cinnamon grahm crackers, and playing in the sink with Grandma Oliver. He is such a cute boy and is at a very fun stage where he's learning lots of new things like pulling up on furniture, climbing stairs, and eating solid food with his two new bottom teeth!

Fell asleep in just a diaper and just being cute!

Robert...Oliver

My sister Marie recently had her fourth boy, so we went down to visit. Oliver and his cousin Robby became friends. And then the next weekend, grandma and grandpa came up from St. George to play too. My dad, Robrt Oliver, was playing on the floor with Oliver when Robby (whose full name is Robert) came over to play too. That's when I had to get the second picture because it's a pic of Robert Oliver, Robert, and Oliver. That's too cool of a picture to miss!

Fun Stuff

Here's cute pics from the last couple weeks. There's Ollie catching a nap in his car seat, playing with his cousin Evan at Aunt Marie's b-day party, exploring the Bee Movie dvd case, and going for his first ride on Trax to and from the Salt Lake Bees baseball game.

Love to Chew!

Everything makes a good chew toy - even the kitchen counter! Oliver wants to put EVERYTHING in his mouth! It's at that phase and it sure is cute. Thanks for all your comments on the new look of the blog. I was ready for a change.

Fun in the Sun!

The end of July brought a couple of opportunites for some outdoors fun. Brian had the 24th off, so we went for a drive through the Avenues and to a beautiful downtown park. Then on the 28th, we went with Brian's family for a day of boating fun including water skiing and tubing.

Getting Soooo Big!

Our sweet little boy is just growing up everyday! Lately he has been to a movie in the park, gone on a boat, and started "reading" books and eating solid foods all for the first time. He now can also lift his head up very high while laying on his tummy and has rolled over both ways! We also think that he has a tooth in the works.

Experiment 626

Oliver was in his bed sleeping, so I went to the bathroom. When I came back he was awake, but not swaking to get out like he usually does. He was just laying there, kicking the arm of his stich doll. He'd drag his leg down the arm, watch it bounce back up, and then do it again and again. He's been doing lots of these types of experiments with his legs lately.

Brian's Baby Outfit

Here is a picture of Oliver in Brian's baby clothes. Brian's aunt, Karen, made this for Brian when he was born. He grew out of it by the time he was a couple months old and Ollie is just now fitting it perfectly. So he's just smaller than his daddy was, he's still very cute!

Cute Oliver Pictures

Our little boy is so cute. I am currently borrowing Brian's aunt's lap top which is much faster that the Bowles' slow as cold tar computer, so that is why I am posting so many things today while I have the chance. So here are a bunch more cute pictures. The first one is a pic of him sitting in his jumper for the first time. His toes just scim the floor, but he still seems to like it. I'm sure it will be even more fun as he gets bigger. Then there is him just being cute, learning to play with toys, and one of him and Regina's baby, Hannah. Hannah is his current lady friend, seeing as she is the only girl his own age that he knows. He is quite the lady's man!

Brian's B-day

Brian's b-day was on June 5th. We didn't have a big shindig or anything, but I did make him his favorite cake (pineapple upside down), which as you can tell he was very excited to eat (can you see the missig pieces that he dove into before the candles were lite?).

Oliver Talking

Lately Oliver has become quite vocal, but every time we would go to take video of him talking he would stop and just stare at the camera. Well, this time Brian got him going and then I came up from the side so that he couldn't see the camera and we got him! Even after he realized that the camera was there, he kept talking anyway - a first. He is getting so big and so cute! We thought that those of you who don't get to see him very often would get a kick out of this. Enjoy!

He Smiles

We got our first smile picture. Yeah!! Isn't he just adorable?

What the Snow!!

We had a long winter and now we are in the middle of a crazy spring - 75 degrees one day, 45 the next. It even snowed in May! Hopefully we are almost done with this madness and good weather will be here to stay.

Oliver's Blessing Day

Oliver was blessed on April 13, 2008. Today he is 6 weeks old. He still looks very little to a lot of people, but to me, he is already getting bigger. He was blessed by his dad. Brian did a great job of listening to the Spirit. Oliver wore the outfit that Brian wore when he was blessed. It was a little big (Brian was over 8 pounds when he was born and Ollie still isn't that big), but he still looked dashing!

More cute pics of Oliver

He's just so cute that I can't help myself! So here are more pics. Uncle Scott was in town for business all the way from Texas and came to visit. Then there's Oliver sleeping peacefully by his daddy. And more sleeping, just today in his bouncer with his arm sticking out. What a cutie!

Cute Little Ollie

Oliver is the cutest little boy. Here he is wearing a great green outfit that we got from Aunt Marie. I love the ears on the top of the hoodie! With his tongue out like that he looks like a cute, little frog!

Oliver Brian Bowles

Our cute little baby boy, Oliver Brian Bowles, was born at 2:26 pm on March 4th 2008. I was sick all day long the day before, so Brian and I went into the hospital. We got there at about 12:30 am on Tuesday. I was diagnosed with H.E.L.P syndrome, so they hooked me up to all kinds of IVs and drugs and we spent the night there. Then at 8:00 am, my doctor broke my water to induce me, seeing as the only cure for HELP is delivery. Things actually went pretty well and now our baby is here. I feel much better now that he's out! He is such a sweet boy.

Last summer we got to go on a cross country trip. Brian had a friend getting married in the Washington DC Temple. We decided to drive all the way there so that we could stop in Nebraska on our way and see some of our old mission sights and friends. We also wanted to get out and see the country before we had kids when a trip like that would be much more difficult. I was about 8 weeks pregnant at the time, which only strenghtened my natural motion sickness by about 10 times, but it was still very fun and a great experience that we will always remember. Here we are with 2 of our favorite families from Hastings, Nebraska and in front of the DC Temple with the newly married couple. August 2007

Here it is!

I am finally creating a blog. Since this is our very first blog, I have decided to start at the very beginning. A very good place to start. When you read you begin with ABC. When you blog you begin with Brian and me! Ok. That was a little cheesy, but Sound of Music fans everywhere will love it! Anyway. As most of you know, Brian and I met on our missions in Nebraska. No funny business. We were strictly obedient. That is where we discovered that we both had strong testimonies and that we got along very well. We also saw that we worked well together as we served in the same ward for 3 months in a little town called Hastings. Missions are great. Ours lead us to each other. We wouldn't have found each other if I hadn't gone on my mission when I did. Again, cheesy, but at least this chessiness is true. We then got home, dated very briefly and got engaged. We were engaged over the summer of 2006. Here are just a couple of our beautiful engagement pics taken by my sister, Marie.
